We know that our old life died with Christ on the cross so that our sinful selves would have no power over us and we would not be slaves to sin. Anyone who has died is made free from sin’s control.

Heavenly Father
Help me to break free from sin and bad habits from my past. Reveal areas of my life that I need to turn over to You. What I need to let You control. I need to learn that only when I give up control does life work out for the best.
